Sine Wave Corset, woven from red generator wire, is an sculptural Fiber Art piece. This concept is: if this wire is normally wound around a magnet to generate energy would this corset register the wearer’s energy? 

Now the thread that carries through to my work today is fiber. How stretch fibers can support and give back energy to the wearer. A lot of the focus on shape pieces center around compression- there can be more to it than that. For one there can be very little compression and it can still be effective. So many fibers today can be supportive and offer wellness to the user.

Clothing can be created from so many beautiful and interesting fabrics today it is an exciting time in design. Combine that with the latest in garment construction: bonding with new polymers, engineered fabrics with levels of support and/or targeted control or seamless knitted garments from Santoni machines. 

Consumers are more demanding and savvy and we have to rise to meet their demands.
